Welcome to the New England FIRST UNH District Event!
The UNH planning committee is delighted to host teams from all across New England to the Whittemore Center Arena here in Durham, NH! Home to extensive granite formations, the White Mountains, and the birthplace of FIRST Robotics, New Hampshire is a wonderful setting to showcase the tenets of the FIRST program. Our committee has been working hard to bring you a safe and fun-filled weekend of intense robot competition with this year's arts-inspired season, and we can't wait to see what you have created!
TEAMS: You will also find lots of information specific to the UNH Event in this collection of webpages. Please use these resources as a reference for our competition and your visit to Durham.
Good luck to all participating teams, and see you soon in Durham!

We love to have visitors at our events, and we would like for them to stay safe while enjoying the atmosphere of the competition!
Please remind visitors attending the event that they must wear closed-toe & closed-back shoes AND safety glasses when visiting the pits. If you or your team has extra safety glasses, consider bringing them for visitors or the general public! Extra safety glasses can also be found at the Pit Administration table.

There is absolutely no food or drinks, except water, allowed in the gym or the performing arts center, per the school’s rules.
Please remember to stay within the designated open areas in the building and not venture into curtained- or roped-off areas.
All parties should be informed that robots have the "right of way” in our pits, and that being aware of your surroundings at all times is critically important.

FIRST Robotics Competition
Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology.
"We call FIRST Robotics Competition the ultimate Sport for the Mind. High-school student participants call it 'the hardest fun you’ll ever have.'
Under strict rules, limited time and resources, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team 'brand,' hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors. It’s as close to real-world engineering as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team. "(via FIRSTInspires.org)
